As a professional artist for over 20 years,  Robert has taught classes world wide.  Described as one of the most productive artists in the country he has established a successful career in art and art instruction.  He has produced over 200 instructional art shows for television and has authored numerous instructional books and packets as well as produced a variety of art videos.    His instructional television shows have been broadcast for over 10 years.  Through his classes and videos he has made a point of passing his great love of art to his many students.  Robert  majored in art at both Ohio University and Ohio State University, but  his ala prima style of painting and teaching are basically self-taught, although greatly influenced by his mentor and dear friend, the late William Alexander.   From landscapes to classic portraits, Robert makes complex subjects easy to understand, analyze, and paint in a very relaxed atmosphere.  Modern techniques developed by Robert offer the best and easiest approach to different styles and subjects.
