Robert Warren's Floral/Still Life Teacher Certification Program

Floral and Still Life paintings are extremely popular. By learning the techniques involved with both, you can combine subjects, focus on single elements, or just let your imagination take over. During each level, there will be emphasis and lessons on history, color theory, composition, perspective, and drawing skills. Robert will show you the correct way to simplify complex subjects and break them down into easy to follow methods. Suggested study programs will be personalized for each individual in order to create an easier transition into the next level.

We plan on restarting the program with the Entry level in 2011, the intermediate level in 2012 and the advanced level in 2013.

Floral/Still Life Entry Level: $500

This seminar will focus on the elements of florals, still lifes and the combination of both. The main focus of this seminar will be on techniques...and a lot of them. Extensive samples will be painted for both florals and still lifes. The floral techniques will include studying the anatomy of many different flowers and foliage. The still life portion will include various objects and textures. We will also concentrate on the importance of background and composition and the five main elements of florals and still lifes.

Floral/Still Life Intermediate Level: $500

More complex subjects will be studied including a more diversified variety of florals and still life items. There will be an emphasis on creating composition through drawing and photography. Still life and floral arrangements will be set up and sketched. Backlighting and surface reflections will be further explored as well as more difficult textures and objects. There will be a focus on individual strengths and weaknesses while heightening the learning process. Each student will work on a pre-selected Robert Warren floral and still life and will be evaluated on their interpretation of his techniques. All students enrolling in this seminar must have completed a Floral/Still Life entry level seminar.

Floral/Still Life Advanced Level: $500

The final level of the Floral/Still Life Certification course. Once completed, students will be Certified Floral/Still Life Robert Warren instructors. All students enrolling in this seminar must have completed entry and intermediate level seminars for Floral/Still Life. The final seminar of this program will bring all elements to the highest level and bring a general refinement to all phases of your painting techniques. This seminar will intensify previous seminar lessons and concentrate on elements of design and color theory. Extremely valuable lessons and lectures on the business of teaching as an art instructor and all factors of the art business will be included as you learn how to succeed as a member of the Renaissance Group as a Robert Warren Certified Floral/Still Life Instructor.
