May 30- June 3, 2012 Old Masters Series 2012: Creating Classic Still Lifes Seminar $425

 Revisiting techniques Robert used years ago, these beautiful still life paintings begin on a black base color and exemplify a chiaroscuro style with dramatic lighting and dark tones. Capturing the play of light on different surfaces, these intermediate to advanced projects are inspired by the Dutch still life paintings of the 17^th century. Eager to share several new composition ideas and techniques, Robert will challenge you with three paintings during this five day seminar. This great follow up to previous Old Master Seminars or a great place to start... this seminar includes all new paintings and is open to all students! The third painting image will be added soon.

August 19 - 20, 2012 (Sunday and Monday) Special Two-Day Post Convention Workshop $225

Take advantage of being in Columbus for the HOOT convention and attend a two-day workshop at the historic Art Loft. We are a short 15 minute drive from the convention center! For those staying downtown and without a car, we can provide free transportation to the Canal Winchester Best Western. (They provide discounted rates for Art Loft students.) We can then provide daily transportation to and from the hotel and The Art Loft. As always, we can provide transportation to the airport from the hotel for those who are flying. This is a fantastic opportunity to spend time in a relaxed atmosphere and learn from the best while completing a beautiful painting done in the old master style.  Paints, mediums, instructions, patterns, photos and canvas will be provided for this workshop. September 12 - 16, 2012 Figure Studies Seminar $425

The human figure has long been regarded as one of the most beautiful and challenging subjects to paint. During this five-day seminar, we will study the human form and clothing drapery to create sophisticated paintings with an emphasis on techniques and composition. These paintings have a unique style that is geared toward intermediate to advanced level painters.

November 29 - December 2, 2012 Advanced Portrait and Open Seminar $375

Complete portraits or any painting projects with Robert's assistance! The Advanced Portrait portion of this seminar is offered only to those who have taken Robert's Portrait Technique seminars. For the many students who attended the Portrait Technique Seminar, this is the opportunity to create your own portraits while having Robert there to guide you. By using the learned techniques, your own photographs, and assistance from Robert, you will create your own classic portraits. This seminar is also an Open Session seminar for all students to bring in new or unfinished projects in any subject matter to work on with plenty of Robert's help. This is a terrific time create gifts for the upcoming holiday season and learn more techniques at the same time. A break down in price per day is also available.
